We develop safe Machine Learning models for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles that utilize Machine Learning for detection, classification, and localization of objects, such like lane markings, traffic lights, other vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Functional Safety is standardized, state-of-the-art engineering practice, ensuring the highest level of quality and dependability in the automotive industry. For Machine Learning, these techniques do not exist yet. Some of its concepts can be implemented for Machine Learning. Some Machine Learning concepts have the potential to improve safety where industry practices do not fit. We’re researching the capabilities and limits of these concepts, and we’re building a safe Machine Learning product which we continuously improve as we learn. We’re conducting publicly and privately funded research, which we share with the community to help define state-of-the-art safe Machine Learning.
